Values

Our values provide a solid base for the ORLEN Group, determining the path to the achievement of ambitious goals by the organisation and by its people.

In 2014, the Group completed the implementation of the 'Core Values and Standards of Conduct of PKN ORLEN’, which offer guidance on relations inside and outside the Company. The document regulates our relations with trading partners, local communities and competitors, comprehensively covering ethical issues related to human rights, diversity, equal opportunities or preventing corruption. It complements the Company’s business strategy by placing emphasis on building good relations and mutual trust within the organisation. It also provides a way for employees to log their doubts or any irregularities they notice. An Ethics Officer and an Ethics Committee are now active at PKN ORLEN. In 2014, no instances of alleged bribery or corruption were reported to the Ethics Officer. Thanks to a series of training sessions for employees and management and a newly-launched electronic training platform, any employee concerns about corporate values or ethical conduct can be addressed and explained. The subject of human rights is brought up during various training sessions and internal meetings. In the reporting period, there was no record of any instances of discrimination on grounds of sex, race, age or disability. In the reporting period, there was no record of any instances of discrimination on grounds of sex, race, age or disability.

The innovative approach to company ethics places the ORLEN Group at the forefront of companies prepared for the challenges of the future, as evidenced by the fact that the independent Ethisphere Institute named it ‘The World’s Most Ethical Company’ twice, in 2014 and 2015.
